The class blog is so dead lol ._. it has been so long since the last point.
nvm this post shall revive it.

Anyway, next week will be the last week of the hectic exam period.
jiayous for your last (few) papers haha. not sure how many papers you all have for next week (i have 3 in a row D: ) but jiayou and do your best for it! [30% of the year is quite heavy]

Enough about exams haha. So when do you all want to have another class gathering again? Hopefully asap after exams are over? And we must have another class chalet lol, not sure why there wasn't any last year. That'd be on the June hols, after everyone's back from GPPs.

So yeaup everything's tentative as for now, haven't discussed it with the others. Hopefully they will happen haha.

School Holiday Homework:

Chinese extra homework (for those who got it)
Chinese IVLE stuff, go IVLE check if you have lost the paper.
There are 2 exercises to do, one on the Jade Seah thing and another on your favourite c.lit stuff, can be poems, storys, etc.

The next chinese homework will be the historical monuments found in Singapore. You are supposed to visit a place like Fort Soliso, City Hall, etc and write a report of 350 words, attached with 5 pictures that you took, and makke a simple explaination about them.

The last one will be the galleries that you will have to go to visit.
there is one at hwa chong and another at national library, but the hwa chong one is closed already.

For ebglish, 2 sets of reading comprehension stuff and your c'wealth essays. If you lost the paper for the essay list, google c'wealth essay, if you lost the comprehensioon stuff, gg to yourself. It'd cost a few dollars for photocopying them.

But, 2H will be the best in our hearts, 2H will be the craziest class, 2H will always be that one class that opens the door, welcoming everyone, 2H will be that very one class to make people laugh at their own stupidity (today's learning symposium game) , 2H will be the one and only class to make people have fun.

We may not win, we may not lose, but as long as we enjoyed ourselves, that's the very best. Take today for example, very organised very successful. Everyone cooperated, everyone helped out, everyone laughed and cheered, everyone smiled and giggled.

That's what make me proud, 2H. That's what make me love, 2H. That's what make me smile, 2H. And that's what I go to school for, 2H.

We spend many hours a day together in school, many many hours a week in the class. Because of this, 2H is part of my everyday life, something that I'll feel weird without, something that I want to live with forever.

But, time doesn't stop, time doesn't wait. You've got to take the bait and make everything stay - right there in your heart.

It's sad that we are going to be separated, it's sad that we have to leave each other, it's sad that we bonded a little too late, it's sad that we did not have a strong foundation, it's sad that we may not be that good terms with each other, it's sad that we opened up when everything's about to end.

But on a brighter note, I'm glad we're in 2H, I'm glad we're one class, I'm glad we shared many moments together - happy or sad, I'm glad we're altogether, I'm glad we ever bonded, I'm glad we've met, I'm glad we've stayed for two, I'm glad that we've opened up before the school ends, I'm glad we had fun.

Most importantly, I'm glad to be in 2H.

I love 2H, I'll always do.

I'm not sure how I'm feeling right now, but I guess this is it, isn't it? Two years has come to an end, along with many memories. The pingpong ball and the chinese calligraphy. Our cliques, our classmates, our teachers, our games. The ever-so-boring lessons in 2H has ended, tomorrow's the last day of school. We'll stand together for the last flag-raising, we'll play together as a class, we'll scream byebye to each other across the class. We've only got two hours together to end of the two years we've spent. I'll cry. I already did. But, it's all worth it.

We had joy, we had fun, we had laughter and much smiles.
We had tears, we had bickers, we had quarrels.
We had silence, we had dreams, we had chatters.
We were a fish market, we were a silent film, we were an audience.
We were teachers for each other, listening ears for those who needed.
We were the best of friends, worst of enemies, most of classmates.
We pranked, we fell, we did many things together.
Most of all, we were part of 2H.

Hi people, I must say [although I don't have the...] that we did a good job today, although we did not win.

Based on what I know and witnessed, 2 accident happened.
One which happened during the preparation and another when someone was playing the game.

I will not elaborate on the incident that happened during the preparation as I did not witness it. But based on what I know, it's good that it happened during the preparation and not when the people some coming in. Let's forget about it and treat it as a blessing in disguise. Anyway, it's good that you all was able to brainstorm for a modification in the short time we had right after the 'destruction'.

Another was when someone whacked the soft toy and the whole string broke. Haha, no one should be blamed as the string was already showing signs of 'breakage'. The good was that we were able to make a replacement in a short time, in fact, not even a minute. Good work in such a pressurizing situation, especially when the queue was extremely long and people were getting restless.

So although we didn't win, it was a good experience, don't you agree?

Anyway, almost everyone helped out today ;D
With the exception of the absentees and the group which hid somewhere in the school...

Nevermind.

Hi people,

Some tips for Math papers tomorrow:

Memorize all the coordinate geometry stuff.
Do a few (1-3) questions for each of the 19 topics before sleeping.
SLEEP EARLY! It's important that the freshness of the mind is there during Math exam.
Check your calculator.
Make sure it's in DEG mode before the paper. If your answer is weird, check whether your mode is correct ot not.
Answers to 3s.f. , 1d.p. for angles

Anyway, remember that we have bonus questions!
One 5 marks and one 7 marks.

Also, when you are stuck at a question, meaning unable to think of ways to solve for more than 3-5mins, skip to the next question. Bonus question might be easy so there's no harm to check them out.

Yeaup, that's about it.
Remember to sleep EARLY!

It's an idea from my ex-classmate's class, and it's great, so we shall do it too.
Help will be needed of course, around 5 people for the main thing.
I'm planning to make a class video of ALL the pictures taken in the 2 years the class was together. :D

It will be a right angle mins paper.
Calculators are ALLOWED, but you MUST have the APPROVAL sticker on the calculator, not on your face.
BRING YOUR MATHEMAICAL SET too. We will need it. I think. Just bring in case we need it.
Other than that, nothing else can be brought in, with the exception of your pencil box, water,and your mathematical mind. ;D

Be alert of negative signs, what the qn is asking, etc.
Rememeber that you should round off to either 3 s.f. or 1d.p. unless stated in qn.
Use pi = 3.142 unless qn said otherwise.

There might be chances that you can apply factorization like
(a +/- b)^2 = (a^2 +/- 2ab +b^2)
when necessary. ;D

Please visit this website, as it name suggest, it's the new skin i found from my ex-classmate's CCA mate's class blog.

As you can see if you have gone there that a lot of new functions are added and a lot of things had been added.

The only things which have to be edited are the calender and the picture.

FUNCTIONS ADDED INTO THE NEW SKIN:

1) Counter
[well, just for fun and to see how many people came to the class blog]

2) Online people counter
[So that you know that someone is viewing the blog too? haha]

3) Timetable
[Easier reference to the timetable and also to force you to come to the class blog{for those who lost their timetable}]

4) Events Viewer
[Well, this isn't completed and it will be updated very frequently once the blogskin is active(in use). Rather useful reminder]

5) DownloadBox
[Probably the best new function available to all. You can upload/download anything to/from this very useful function. But bear in mind we have only 1GB space unless everyone is agreeable to investing <$10/month in this(but i think GB is enough) Password is same as the e-mail's]

[A quicker reference to the test/exams approaching, but this need a lot more editing]

Why's the blog so dead? D;

Well, at least i am making this lively ;D

I browsed through some class blogs again and i found some interesting stuff that we can do to...

For example, if the class hygiene and neatness level is extremely low, i think it will be fine if we take a few snapshots with a cam(no phones allowed in school).
So that will be 'concrete' evidence and the accused will go to 'court' for questioning. ;D

Of course, not like real court case lar.

And the punisments maybe can make them do their duty for the whole week.

btw i think another check will be coming soon so mantain the hygiene level so that we will get 'A' again.

This is going to be a rather long post i think...

Well, we had been scolded by Miss Teo for 3 STRAIGHT LESSONS.
And 2 hours of precious lesson time( We only have 1hr 20min of history every week).
So can you all like don't make Miss Teo upset?

The reason why teachers scold us is that they are not happy with our attitude of learning. Miss Teo might seem to us being fussy but she actually mean well.

Take for example Guang Jie's work [Okay, that was rather funny]

Why did Miss Teo complain about it?

Think about it, when you grow up and go to the society and the boss ask you to give a report and you hand in a crumpled report, the very first impression is that the quality of the work is very low. So we must keep it a habit to put your worksheets in files or clear folders and make sure it's presentable.

So please co-operate with Miss Teo :D
I am sure you all guys don't want to fail History right?
Well, if you are still angry of Miss Teo(maybe about her words) you can prove her wrong by scoring well for History ;D

And also don't make Mr Boey angry can? >___>
If you ask the Year 3 people they will say he do not scold people der lor.
So you can see that we must had really made him angry till the extent that he lectured us for several occasions. D;

So here's an appeal to all of you.
We need to have a reform now.

Surely you all don't want to fall like the Romanov and Qing Dynasty right?
So make sure that you always do the following:

1) Prepare for the next lesson IMMEDIATELY after the current lesson is over.
For example, if the next lesson is history, take out your HISTORY NOTES and HUMANITIES journal out to show Miss Teo that we are prepared for the lesson and we want to learn.

2) Hand in ALL assignments ON TIME

3) Listen to the teacher when they are teaching

4) Hand in all forms ON TIME.

5) ...

I know that it quite hard to 'abide' to the following 'rules' but try your best can?

I really hope everyone will co-operate and remind each other to apply the above 4 points. ;D

Another topic is about the number of 'par students' in our class, which was claimed to be the highest in the level.

Sad isn't it?

After some thinking, i thought that actually we can have much lesser pupils in par. Like, 2 or 3. If you aren't slacky, i believe that you can score much better results.

So must jiayou for all the exams we have this year as this year is very important to all.

You all can do it! ;D (Must have a positive mindset)

On a lighter note, MYE is coming! Only 483 hours left. You all started revising already i suppose ;D

Which is today, 10th of march.

DON'T PANIC IF YOU SEE THIS!
Cos I guess very few people will really chiong to school just to hand in this pity little file.
So, you all have CCA during holiday right?
You can hand in it during your CCA day, not necessary to hand in on monday.
Or you can pass it to someone who have CCA during holiday to help you hand in.
But please don't drag drag until next week, when school reopens!

&&! Those who've er, accidentally (?) failed your chinese ( :X ), according to ms tay,
you must rewrite the zuowen 1 again.

Photojournalism contest (World Water Day 2008)

In conjuction with World Water Day (22 March 2008), the school is organising a photojournalism competition. All classes are to submit at least 1 entry.

Rules and Regulations:
The theme of the photojournalism contest is "Water". The photograph must be related to this theme. You may want to refer to http://www.worldwaterday.org for ideas.
Photographs should be taken with a digital camera with a resolution of at least 3 megapixels.
Entries must be submitted as both a hard copy (5R photograph) and soft copy (digital image file).
The photograph is to be accompanied by a short caption.

Judging criteria:
Strong composition and arrangement: captivating subject matter should be arranged in a meaningful or artistic way.
Brilliant colour: hues should be eye-catching and lighting should be used to enhance the subject.
Focus and sharpness: make sure the object has clarity, or use soft focus as an intentional effect to artistically enhance the image.
Creativity and emotion: don't hesitate to use a creative camera angle, and try to capture emotion.

Submission deadline: 17 March 2008 (Term 2 Week 1, Monday)

2nd REVAMP!

Welcome again to the 2nd revamp for the class blog!

Well, this revamp is to make the blog more "user-friendly", and as you can see, the navigation is cleared and now everything is at the right of the blog ;D

So there will be no excuses for not tagging on the tagboard :D

Well, for this blog, the base code is done by others, and Yueyao changed the colour of several things and transferred the things from the previous blog. I just added several "applications", for example, the poll, Homework List and reminders and o also resize the tagboard.

So yeah, presenting to you guys the NEW CLASS BLOG! :D

Well, welcome to the new 2H'08 blog! ;D

It's actually done by someone from another secondary school ( sorry, forget the name already).

So credits go to her and her friend for the base codes and 80+% of the picture.

And Yueyao added the top-left hand corner part, and I edited the bottom part of the picture.

So yea. Credits to Yueyao for editing the picture, and me for the picture and some small parts for the coding ;D.
