Yeaup, sad to say but there are still a handful of things to be completed and submitted by the end of Term 2.

1) Geogrpahy Project

By Term 2 Week 10, not more than 10pgs, sld incl photographs, data (table), refer to notes for more info.

2) LA Post-Exam activity

Not much info given, but to be completed by Term 2.

3) LA worksheet [ compre qns]

Complete it by monday [ i think]

4) FLASH proj

BY NEXT MONDAY. RUSH THIS FIRST.

You WILL be tested on all these topics:

Perimeters and Areas of Plane Figures
Volumes and Surface Areas Of Solids
Length of Arc and Area of Sector
Coordinates and Linear Graphs
Coordinate Geometry
Parallel lines, perpendicular lines, and mid-point formula
Linear Graphs and their Applications

Last Year's work + This year's
NO FACTORIZATION/EXPENSION.
[test also can lar, lol]

It will be a right angle mins paper.
Calculators are ALLOWED, but you MUST have the APPROVAL sticker on the calculator, not on your face.
BRING YOUR MATHEMAICAL SET too. We will need it. I think. Just bring in case we need it.
Other than that, nothing else can be brought in, with the exception of your pencil box, water,and your mathematical mind. ;D

Be alert of negative signs, what the qn is asking, etc.
Rememeber that you should round off to either 3 s.f. or 1d.p. unless stated in qn.
Use pi = 3.142 unless qn said otherwise.

There might be chances that you can apply factorization like
(a +/- b)^2 = (a^2 +/- 2ab +b^2)
when necessary. ;D

Other than these.. nothing else to remind...
so ya, that's all academically.

Triangles and Polygons

Sum of interior angles: 180(n-2)
Sum of exterior angles: 360

Perimeters and Areas of Plane Figures

Polygon Formulas

(N = # of sides and S = length from center to a corner)

Area of a regular polygon = (1/2) N sin (360°/N) S2

Sum of the interior angles of a polygon = (N - 2) x 180°

The number of diagonals in a polygon = 1/2 N (N-3)
The number of triangles (when you draw all the diagonals from one vertex) in a polygon = (N - 2)

Area

Rectangle: BH
Triangle: 1/2base*height
Circle: 2
Parallelogram: BH
Square: l2

Length of Arc and Area of Sector

If the radius of the circle is r,
Area of sector = πr2 × A/360
Arc length = 2πr × A/360

In other words, area of sector = area of circle × A/360
arc length = circumference of circle × A/360
